One number,with its working shown.
The Behavior Score is the single figure at the top of your Home screen. It describes how your recent behaviour looks, from your own check-ins and entries. It is not a credit score, it is never shared with a lender, and it does not rank you against anyone.
One hero number, and room to look closer.
Open Fingene and the first thing you see is a number from 0 to 100. We kept it to one on purpose. A screen full of metrics asks you to become an analyst. A single number invites you to notice a trend and then, if you want, look closer.
Next to the number is how sure Fingene is: a confidence label and a shaded band on the scale. Early on the band is wide. It narrows as you check in.
Under it, the few things that moved the score this month, in words you would use yourself, and the card says what the number is not: your credit score.
Steadier than last month. Fewer late-night spends.
The shaded band is how sure Fingene is. It narrows as you check in.
- Check-ins
- 12 this month

A credit score is a lender’s view of your repayment history. The Behavior Score is a description of recent behaviour. It is never shared with a bank, a lender or an employer, and it has no effect on your ability to borrow.
The number, and its quieter companions.
Three small ideas sit around the score. Each is a mirror, not a grade.
Your recent behaviour, 0 to 100
It moves as you check in and add entries, and it can rise or fall. A lower week is information, not a failure.
A playful behavioural-age figure
A single figure that describes how settled your habits look, expressed as an age. It is there to start a conversation with yourself, not to grade you.
A short look at the next seven days
A 0 to 100 outlook for the coming week, based on your recent pattern. It describes how you are likely to behave, never how any investment is likely to perform.
Treat it like weather, not a report card.
The score is most useful as a direction over a few weeks. A few ways to read it well:
- Look at the trend, not the day
One low reading after a hard week says very little. Several weeks moving in one direction says more.
- Ask what changed
The Moments timeline shows the check-ins and entries behind a week. Often the story is obvious once you see it.
- Notice the empty state
When there is not enough to say, Home says “still learning you” instead of showing a made-up number. It fills in as you check in.
- Use milestones lightly
Small milestones mark things like showing up for a stretch of days. They celebrate the habit, not the balance.
What it is, and what it is not.
A mirror of recent behaviour
- Built from your own check-ins and entries
- Shown with context, and it says so when there isn't enough data
- Yours alone: it is never shared with lenders
- One number, with detail on request
Any of these
- A credit score or anything a lender uses
- A ranking against other people
- A rating of how good you are with money
- A prediction of returns or market moves
Credit score or Behavior Score? Different jobs.
| Compared on | Credit score | Behavior Score |
|---|---|---|
| Who it is for | Lenders deciding whether to lend | You, deciding what to notice |
| What it describes | Repayment history | Recent behaviour from your own check-ins and entries |
| Who sees it | Banks and credit bureaus | Only you |
| Can it change what you can borrow? | Yes | No, never |
| What it is built to do | Predict repayment | Reflect behaviour |
Asked often.
They are unrelated. A credit score reflects repayment history and is used by lenders. The Behavior Score describes recent behaviour from your own check-ins and entries, and is visible only to you.
Because there isn't enough data yet to say anything true. We would rather show nothing than guess. It fills in as you check in and add entries.
Yes. It describes recent behaviour, and behaviour varies. A lower stretch is something to be curious about, not a mark against you.
No. Your plan and price do not depend on your score.
From your own check-ins and entries. We keep the exact workings private, and the app never shows a formula.
